About me
I grew up in the city of Porto, Portugal. I was very soon influenced by art nouveau and the arts’n’crafts movements from the early 1900’s. As so, when I was 15 years old I went to study Graphic Arts in Soares dos Reis school, an unique institution were I learned all the processes (traditional and technological, handbuilt and machine made).
I started working early in life – as a graphic designer – by the age of 19. A few years later, I was a bit disapointed on how much time I spent at the computer as a graphic designer so I decided to engage in a new path.
I went to study Painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto by the age of 24. Since then, I’ve been keeping my life busy between painting and working as a cultural producer (mostly in performative arts).
7 years ago, I also started to work as a tile painter, and I’ve been happilly developing my project as a ceramist in the past year. So, at 36, I’m bulding up my studio and of course, this website 🙂
